chromatic harp tablature
I would need a tablature with twelve lines, but for clarity's sake makes every other line invisible. In other words, I would like to print notes on visible lines and on invisible lines to make these look like notes in the spaces of a six line staff.

Wouldn't it make more sense to then just make a six line staff?

That would make sense except for I would like to use playback and have only halftone steps between each line and staff. Thank you for answering so promptly.

Can you share an example of the notation your looking for then?
Since MuseScore doesn't allow for gaps/partial invisibility in staff lines, so far the closest I can come up with is to indeed go for a 6-line staff and use the "fix to line" option to move the notes to their desired positions.
