Is mf no longer a default in MS4?
Is it like in MS4 the mf dynamic is no longer the default one?
Here the sound seems to be different after "mf":
mf_is_no_longer_a_default.mscz

No idea. I learned long ago that dynamics always need to be added.

I see. Thank you. I also now am doing this - always starting from specifying mf for each stave. In this way I feel like I know the basis that I build upon.
I have felt this too. If I have a mp then a F, MuseScore will automatically make a crescendo for some reason.
