Why instruments.xml is no longer supported?
I was searching at preferences of MU4 and the option to use custom instruments xml files is no longer available. There is a default instruments.xml in the application folders and its syntax is human readable. Why MU4 doesn't allow us to create an use our own custom instruments giving them the names, articulations and midi presets we like?

Statement of the Boss:
We're going to be building systems that allow users to modify things like this (especially sounds and articulations) over the next few releases. The custom instrument list feature conflicts with our new playback system too much for it to be honoured in V4.
There have been a few instances where we've had to do this, unfortunately. We'll be adding much more configurability to MS4 over the next few releases.

Any news on this? I'd like to create my own instrument based on sounds that already exist.
