Linked Tab staff to a piano Treble Clef?
I'm unsure how to take my Piano Treble Clef stave (made using the Jazz Lead Sheet Template), and create a linked Guitar Tab stave.
When I use the Instruments Panel & Choose to create a linked staff, it creates a duplicate treble clef staff, but the option of choosing an alternative staff type is greyed out.

Change the treble clef staff instrument from piano to guitar (or whatever stringed instrument you need) because the staff/tablature pair shares the same instrument.

So is it not possible to link a piano staff with a guitar tab?

No, as that instrument lacks the string data, how many strings, which tuning, how many frets
