Attaching quarter note's beams with rest in between
Hi everybody!
I've been trying to connect beams of sixteenth notes with rest in between them (ex. 1st pic) and it's been working out using the properties section and choosing the right option on the "Beam" Tab (ex. 2nd pic).
But on some cases this procedure doesn't work and it glues the beams on a bizarre way (ex. 3rd pic).
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks for the support.

Select the rest and apply Join beams from the beaming palette. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/beams#change-beaming

But surely, your pictures show eighth and sixteenth notes if I am translating from my British quaver and semiquaver properly.

Worked just fine, didn't try to apply it to the rest. Thanks!
And yes, I was talking about the sixteenth's, it's just a poor english situation.
In Brazil we use other names to refer to the notes, I confused myself while writing it.
Quarter notes don't have beams
