Ties Above/Below On Notehead/Stem Side Toggleable?
Hello all! I'm totally new to MuseScore with v4, having used Sibelius for a couple decades and being very attracted to the simplicity of the newest version of MS. There is one major setting that I have been using in scores forever and ever that I do not know how to toggle in MS4 and would love to know if it's an option and/or why it isn't/will never be...
In Sibelius, the default tie rules match what MS4's defaults appear to be, where ties are above/below on notehead/stem side. This produces something looking like this:
But if I go to Sibelius' Engraving rules and untick the two boxes in both sections:
... then the music looks much more readable and clear (to me) with the delineation more clear:
Is this something I can do in MS4? Thank you so much for your help.

We need a comment from @oktophonie about this, because it would involve extra parameter settings in:
Format > Style... > Slurs/Ties.
My personal reaction is that the MuseScore default setting is actually more readable than the Sibelius "unticked" option.

I personally prefer the current default too, but as it happens, @oktophonie actually just opened an issue to get the ball rolling on designing a similar option - see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/18685
