Instead of first entering notes incorrectly then correcting them, triplets are simply entered directly: in note input mode, select the total duration for the triplet, then press Ctrl+3, then enter the notes normally.

Thx - Yeah, I know, but f.e. with PDF imports there are often "wrong" triplets (=normal notes) that have to be corrected afterwards.

This is but one of very many reasons PDF import is seldom as efficient as simply entering the music normally. But if you wish to try, just delete the incorrect notes, fix the measure duration if necessary, and re-enter the notes. There was a "duration editor" plugin for MuseScore 3 that could help somewhat with tasks like this, but itas far as I know it is not supported for MuseScore 4, and there is normally still going to be a ton else going wrong that will make the PDF correction process slower than normal note input.

IMHO being able to change the rhyme in an existing melody (including triplets) is a very legal request. Not only when importing a PDF, but also when composing a song, for example. I often come up with the melody before the rhythm of the song. For me, this is one of the many reasons why I still stick with Musescore 3 (with the "duration" plugin). The improvements in Musescore 4 are shit for me when actually working with the program takes double the time.

Or consider installing MU3.7 Evolution, which reads both MU3 & MU4 files (https://github.com/Jojo-Schmitz/MuseScore/wiki/)
You have the best of both worlds then: MU3.7 for the plugins, MU4 for the sound
