Different staves for choral score
I'm new to MuseScore and am writing a simple SSA choral score. I've written out the three verses with two staves (Soprano and Alto) but the first verse is unison, hence I'd like to have just one stave (treble clef) for the first verse and then when the second verse starts go into two staves. Am I making sense? I'm hoping the first verse can fit on one page. Because I've written this already, I was hoping I could make use of the section breaks whereby I could place a section break after the first verse and hide the Alto line in the first verse. But, I couldn't get it to work. If someone has any advice I'd be most grateful!

Using three staves can do the trick. No need for a section break. See attachment with some more info.

Thank you very much for your help!
You can hide empty staves when not needed, or show staves only when needed as this handbook article describes. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/showing-staves-only-where-needed
There is no need for three staves.

No need for three staves, unless you want to give the staves Instrument names. In my example the Women staff for verse 1 exists togethere with the Soprano1/2 staff and the Alto staff.
