Turning Chords with Dotted Notes into Rhythmical Slash Notation
When I switch to slash notation on a dotted chord, the resulting slash seems to retain the dots from all the notes distributed in the staff range that the slash note head itself spans, resulting in more than one dot. I presume that is not intended.
Changing the chord to a single note would solve this problem visually, but there are two reasons why I want to keep the chord: Playback and a backup reference in case any other chord representations in the score get deleted.

Confirmed, in 4.1.1. Certainly a bug and a regression vs. Mu3 (3.6.2), please report on GitHub https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/new/choose

Glad I can help! The least I can do in return for such a fine piece of software.
