Plugin manager still shows plugin after removal
MuseScore 4 (Windows) still shows a couple of plugins in the plugin menu that I removed from C:\Program Files\MuseScore 4\plugins.
In an example, I installed ABC Import as provided here:
https://musescore.org/en/project/abc-import
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/plugins#install-new
I decided on an alternative, and I subsequently removed the ABC Import files from the plugin directory. The menu for the plugin manager shows the ABC Import plugin as disabled even though the plugin directory does not include the plugin. Why does it even appear if it cannot be re-enabled?
I tried to edit C:\Users[user]\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore4\plugins\plugins.json, but it did not matter.

Where does is say to install in C:\Program Files\MuseScore 4\plugins ??

From your response, I take it that''s not the intended plugins folder. Perhaps the user-specific plugins folder? I'll note that the plugins were sort of working. That is, I was getting the popup for entering the ABC notation.

Yes, the user-specific plugins folder

Resolved.
The value in this thread might be where to /not/ copy plugin files.
Notably, the problem that I experienced is two-fold: 1) I copied new plugin files to the wrong folder, as above, but I was also in the middle of a computer upgrade. It seems that while I was busy copying the new plugin files in the wrong place, old plugin files were backed up into the correct folder. As such, when I removed the new plugin files from the wrong folder for not working as expected, I still had the old plugin files in the correct folder; hence, the plugin manager still showed the plugins. At least that is my best attempt at reconstructing the problem I experienced.
