How Can I change 8va and 15ma to 8vb and 15vb ??
I'm just gonna refrain from ranting about how shit MS4 is and just simply ask this. I tried changing the system text but it keeps going blank I guess because I'm messing something up.

Understand that the a doesn't stand for alto but that the va is the Italian equivalent of the English th and that vb is just nonsensical
Other than that this works the same as in Mu3, vor the ottava line's properties and its start text, changing to to
<sym>ottavaBassaVb</sym>

Thanks, but I will add that What you said isn't entirely true and is only a matter of writer preference. I prefer va and vb, and that's just that.

What I wrote is the pure and plain truth.
An ottava alta is above the staff, ottava bassa below, no need for an extra b to denote the latter
but indeed there's that misguided other preference too 😉
