After download, new versions of Musescore 4 aren't applied
I press the download button on the Musescore 4.2 prompt, the program says it is downloading, once the download is finished, it says: Musescore 4 must close to apply the changes. I close Musescore 4.02, I reopen Musescore, it is still version 4.02, and not 4.2. Anybody else have a similar issue, what am I doing wrong?

I think that you may be missing a prompt which asks permission for MS4 to make changes to your computer? If you escape out of that question, then the upgrade won't happen.

Nope, no prompt appears, it's really grinding my gears, is one supposed to? Also sorry for late answer, christmas and new years hit like a truck.

Or try downloading from the download page. Without the HUB.

Downloading from the download page (this one: https://musescore.org/en/download) only gets me the hub, which has the same problem, I now have three seperate hub files on my computer. Thanks for the suggestion though
