Transpose problem in musescore 4
Hello ! Does anyone have a clue why it does not work to transpose? It changed key from D- to F but not the actual chords. Some text in the toolbar becomes grey( not active)
Is a reinstallation advisable?
Grateful for an idea

If you by "D-" means D minor, what do you mean when you say you "changed key"? D minor and F (major) have the same key signature (two flats).
What did you actually do? What happened? And what had you expected to happen instead?

I have transposed many times but sometimes it doesn't work. I was a bit unclear : from D-major to F-major.
Actually this was almost only chords and only some notes. ( I have clicked in the chordbutton. )
The strange thing is that key confirms that it is a Bb but not the chords...

Please post the score so we can see what happened. Also, did you have the "Transpose Chord symbols" box checked?

You say you have ticked the 'Transpose chord symbols' option in the transpose dialog, so click on one of the un-transposed chord symbols and look in the Status Bar (located at the bottom left of the screen) to see if it reads as 'Chord symbol'.
Perhaps the chord symbols were added as regular text, and not having used Ctrl+K when entered. Regular text does not transpose.

Attach your score and clearly explain what you are trying to do.

@AndreasKågedal...
Two flats?? ...meaning one flat for D minor and one flat for F major? ;-)

Sorry sorry :-) F major and D minor both have one flat of course. Nothing else.
Now I solved the problem. Read an earlier post by someone said that you have to uncheck the "transpose chordsymbols" ..a little bit strange..
Grateful for all ideas though...

I'm having the same issue with unchecking the box. NO matter what I do chord symbols do not change. This is the first score I've downloaded which doesn't allow opening in the earlier version of MuseScore3! I knew there was a reason I never use 4. Every time I do, I cannot achieve the same results without extensive relearning!
This is with a score I've downloaded from the public site in order to avoid typing in the basic melody and chords before I create my own performance edition.
It is not my file. I have tried re-entering the chords using CTRL+K but the same thing - it does not transpose. And occasionally it will not transpose the notes either!

This is probably not implemented yet.

Self solved: entering in the chords using all lower case seem to have solved it. Does mean I need to go through and re-enter all the chords which kinds defeats the object but hey ho!
