Can you set a time signature, then hide it from view only?
When I hide it, I still want the time signature to exist, I just don't want it to be visible on the score

I did uncheck the 'visible' box.
Please see attachment for what happens.
Is this a bug or am I doing this incorrectly?

It's still visible in editor mode, but when you print it out/export, it will not be visible.
In staff properties you can switch it off completely
