Insert horizontal square brackets above notes
I am working with MuseScore 4 and would like to add square brackets above three notes. How is this accomplished?

This is a triplet. Select a half note or rest and press Ctrl+3.
You can select the number type and / or the bracket or none in the properties of this triplet.

Very responsive. First time I have used this forum.
I am a little lost as I would like to place the bracket above the three quarter notes. I imported a piece of music; however, during the process the backet failed to appear.

Delete the three notes and write the first one into the system as a half note. Then use Ctrl+3, the half note becomes a quarter note and there are two quarter rests. Write the remaining two notes there. The missing bracket comes automatically.
Then the measure is probably too long. This often happens when importing. You have to delete the superfluous rest with Ctrl+Del.
