Exporting png files
Is there a way of exporting a file as a png without having the '-1' suffix?
Secondly, is there a way of pre-selecting the directory for storage as there is for Musescore files?
I've searched but found nothing.

They are always saved in the directory of the mscz file unless you select a different one. However, you must do this every time. Just like MP3 or PDF files.
But why the extension -1 is added to PNG or SVG files but not to PDF files: no idea :-).

Yes, I'm a little bored with selecting a different directory each time, hence my enquiry.

Because a PDF contains all pages, but PNG and SVG are created per page

Ok, the numbers indicate the page number!

Not quite and if so then only by coincidence, if not using a page number offset.
Page 1 is not necessarily the same as 1st page
Althoug maybe it really is the page number, need to check...
