REMOVE A TEXT WORD?
I am tidying up a part before publishing it.
Suddenly, I find the words "Trumpet 1" appears
on the page. It does not behave like a normal text
and it will not allow highlighting and I cannot delete it.
I have worked through all of the different forms of
Text but it refuses to allow me to delete it!
Any ideas? Jeff

Is it in the header or footer? If so delete the relevant tag in Format>Style>Header and footer. If not, attach the score here.

Thanks for your reply. The words are not in
HEADER or FOOTER. Very strange. (and annoying)
Any other thoughts?

I think I may have found a way to fix the unwanted TEXT that had
mysteriously appeared in a score. I had the MULTIMEASURE RESTS
engaged. When I reversed this (and had acres of rests) the
unwanted Words "Trumpet 1" vanished. All is well. Jeff
