Multiple Words On One Note

Well, my problem is fairly simple. I have a single note (the whole note with two of these || things on either side of it, indicating that it's supposed to be held as long as necessary) and I want to put a pile of words on it, except when I hit the space bar, the Lyrics move on to the next note...

Any way to put spaces in there without moving on to the next note?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out totally by accident. Apparently, if I hold the option key on my Mac while hitting the space bar, it works perfectly...
