Publishing MS4 score to Musescore.com dumps custom soundfont rendering
I have a custom SF2 soundfont in my scores which plays back just fine in MS4 but is lost when uploading to musescore.com or exporting to MP3. Is there a setting that I need to switch on to enable this to work as expected?
MS4.5.1 on Windows 11.
No score attached as it happens with every score using a custom SF2

The problem also exists when using a VST3 plugin for sound rendering.

Can you share the custom sf2 so I can test it on my machine? I deleted all my VST sounds. They just weren't very good.
I do have a few sf2 fonts. They work fine.

I couldn't upload it here because it's too big so I've shared it via OneDrive here:

Here's an mp3 I made with Tyros Nylon Soft. Is that one that did not work? Or should I try another font.
It's been a long time since I posted to .com. I have to remember how.

Thanks, that sounds good to me. How did you achieve it? Could you please render it with Spanish Soft as well, just to check that the process is responding to changes in the mixer?
(Yes, Tyros Nylon Soft is my default, although it sounds a lot less soft in MS4 compared with MS3)

No need for another test, I've got it working with both SF2 and VST3.
I had to set all the measures in other staves to non-playing, (by clearing the tick in the "Play" checkbox), despite having muted them in the mixer. So, many thanks for giving me the incentive to persevere.

Interesting. I added a bass and piano part to the guitar and muted them in the mixer. Only the guitar came out in the resulting mp3. Anyway, I'm so glad you figured something out.
