Unresponsive measures
I have a score in which I created a new staff below a staff with two parts combined. Mostly the explode function works to separate the parts, but within the the score there are two measures (M. 31 -32) which I can't even highlight to make any edits. They are empty at the moment. And in those same two measures the treble line in the piano part is also "locked" and unable to write in any notes or anything else.

Probably a faulty PDF import.
Insert two measures before these, copy the notes of the measures into the new measures and then delete the erroneous measures.
I don't see any other possibility.
But this score has many other problems with incorrect measure lengths, triplets and rests ...

Thank you so much. This worked! I had been thinking of trying something like that, but your step-by-step was helpful. I know the score has many problems. I imported from a PDF and those never seem to transfer very cleanly. I usually have to do a lot of editing, especially of meters in individual measures. I think the remaining issues are mostly in the piano part, which I don't really need, and the strange rests in some measures probably came from exploding the parts. (This was originally a score with two parts on each staff.) I don't need a printed score; I just use this for making part-predominant audio files, so as long as the rhythm & notes are correct, the appearance is not important. Thanks again!
