Tempo markings are repeating on multiple of staves
All of a sudden, tempos added on one staff are added to all staves. I tried to follow the directions to make it only appear on the top staff, but I can't make it work.

Yes, by default, a tempo marking at the top of a multi-instrument score now seems automatically to be duplicated on every staff! This makes little sense. Can a way be implemented to have this feature turned off by default but allow it to be turned on only on the rare instances in which it is desirable?
For now, my workaround is to make every redundant tempo marking invisible. But having to do so multiple times for every mark is a big nuisance!

It very certainly doesn't add tempo texts to every staff by default

I wonder what setting is causing this. It doesn't happen on my system.

I guess this is what happens when you create the score from the "classical orchestra" preconfigured template (or other templates). (https://handbook.musescore.org/basics/setting-up-your-score#create-from…)

Not on my system.
I can't even find a way to MAKE it do this. Perhaps Help / Revert to factory settings will make it work right again???

It can be done in the Layout Panel. You have to it to each part.

I think you inadvertently left a word out, or deleted one? I'm guessing it's supposed to say,
You have to add it to each part.
If that is what you meant, that doesn't seem to be what OP meant. I understood them to say that they didn't add anything to each part but the dynamic marking appears on all parts. And that's what I meant to: I can't find any way to add a dynamic to one part and force it to appear on all of them.

Yes, it is hard to figure out what the OP did.
