Corrupted File
My score is corrupted and won't open. After I finished working on the score, I saved the file and closed my laptop. When I came back to the file today, it said that the score was corrupted and that I could not open it. Does anyone know how to fix this and prevent it from happening again?
I put both the error message and the score below.

I suspect that it hadn't actually saved anything when you closed your laptop. Windows user?
When you try to open your file, MuseScore reports it as corrupt because it cannot understand it enough to load it. In actual fact, this is not a MuseScore file, it is a file full of zero values. You can check this yourself using any text editor one step up from basic or by using a hex editor.
It cannot be "fixed". You will need to look for a backup file. I'm hoping that you used "Save as..." and have several partially-completed files to fall back upon.

Where do I find the backup file?

Well, if you made a backup file (you did make backup files as you go, didn't you?) then go to where you saved it. Otherwise MuseScore saves as you go but where those files are depends upon your operating system - the Handbook, or a forum search, might help.
