You get a yellow note because the note is considered out of the pitch range of the instrument.
You can deactivate this feature in Edit->Preferences->Note Entry->Color notes outside of usable pitch range

Thanks

This option has been added in MuseScore 0.9.6. You can download MuseScore 0.9.6.1 on http://musescore.org by clicking on the green button if you use windows or macosx.

Thank you.
This yellow colour, however, should not appear when you print your music.
