Setting up MuseScore on an eee PC
I'm helping a friend set up MuseScore on a new eee PC using the default settings. My first guess about how to do it is that I should add MuseScore's APTrepository to the end of the file /etc/apt/sources.list
, like this:
deb http://www.musescore.org/apt [distribution] [description]
However, I don't know what I should state as the distribution or the description of the repository. What values should I enter to download it? Is there a better way to go about installing MuseScore on this machine?

I've not used an eee PC but try opening synaptic package manager and looking for mscore in the "universe" repository.

The problem is that the eee PC ships with only references to it's own APT repositories in sources.list, so just flipping over to the universe repository in a GUI isn't an option unless I add all of either the Ubuntu or MuseScore repositories manually first. I suspect the eee PC is going to have some differences with Ubuntu, since it seems to use a combination of apt, rpm, and it's own package manager.
I'm a Windows user so I don't really know how this works from first-hand experience. Maybe the download section of this page is helpful?

or this page perhaps:
