How to add a block of text to a score

I've been using MuseScore for one day now and have the hang of the basics. The one thing I can't figure out is how to add a text box like you see in the Getting_Started score, the red, blue, and green text boxes. I tried "How to add a block of text to a score" (musescore.org/en/node/24475), but this does absolutely nothing that I can determine.

I've tried adding frames as well, but when I do, it expands the selected measure to the entire width of the page.

I apologize for such a basic question, but I've been trying to get this for about two hours now.

Thanks Zack. I already saw that page. I must be missing something obvious. I've tried selecting a measure, clicking Add, Frames, Insert Text Frame. It puts a line break in front of the measure selected, inserts a text frame that I am unable to resize or move. If the text I enter goes past the right margin of the box, it just keeps going; it doesn't wrap to the next line.

I've tried the Insert Vertical Frame as well. Same results, although I can change the height of the box. Still can't change the width or move the box.

Are you sure you didn't look at an entirely different page? https://musescore.org/en/handbook/text-basics doesn't mention frames at all, and indeed, frames are not wanted for this case. You want plain staff text, as explained lower down on that page at https://musescore.org/en/handbook/text-basics#staff-and-system-text.

I quote:

Choose a location by selecting a note or rest and then use the menu option Add → Text → Staff Text, or use the shortcut Ctrl+T (Mac: ⌘+T). A small text box appears and you can immediately start typing.

Thanks again, Zack. When I tried Ctrl-T before, it was putting the text above the staff of the selected note, and I hadn't yet figured out how to move it to below the staff. I guess I was stuck on the idea of resizable text boxes and text wrapping within the margins of the box. But this will work for me.

Ah, yes. You do have to create line breaks in the text box manually (by pressing [Return]). A slight point of awkwardness in creating the Getting Started score.
