Sound has stopped working. Actually, hasn't worked since moving to Windows 10 machine.

Thomas asked me to post my issue here.
I had an older Lenovo 32 bit running windows 7 for my studio and Musescore ran not too bad on it. Had sounds at any rate.
I upgraded to a new laptop: Lenovo E550 i7-5500 w/64 bit OS, 16GB Ram and 250gb onboard SSD with Windows 10. Ancillary equipment include a Focusrite 18i20 and I'm running both Reaper and Ableton. Most of my VST is Native Instrument 64 bit. It's taken me a week to configure everything more or less the way I had it and everything is working now except one of my keyboards (likely a driver issue) and Musescore.
I downloaded version 2.0.2 and it's stock - I haven't modified anything yet.
My I/O seems to be correct - ASIO via Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver and midi inputs are correct.
Except..... hmmmm... My soundfonts library is empty. Yet when I follow the suggestion of verifying the soundfont for Synthesizer (from https://musescore.org/en/node/96811), I do indeed see FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3. I'll try downloading a replacement soundfont.
Question at this point though: with all the VSTi I have, can I get Musescore to work with any of that?

IIRC I had to fall back from 10 to 7 because I had no sound (and not just in MuseScore, no sound at all)

1. Click on the sound icon in the system tray at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Select Playback Devices from the menu.
3. Select the current playback device (by default, it is set to speakers) and double click on it to open the properties.
4. Go the Advanced tab and change the bit rate 24 bit / 44100 Hz or 24bit / 192000Hz, according to the speaker configuration.
or/and
1. Go to the Start menu> Device Management and Research.
2. Expand input to audio output.
3. Click on the current audio driver and choose uninstall.
4. Click Scan for hardware changes.
5. The latest drivers are installed automatically.

Oddly enough I now have sound. Unfortunately I'm not sure why. Which of course means if it stops again I won't know how to make it work again. All I did was download a Grand Piano soundfont and install it where the Fluid synthesizer SF is located. And because when I open the General Tab in Preferences I find this under Folders; "C:/Program Files (x86)/MuseScore z/sound (which had the FLUID and now Grand Piano SF) and additionally this folder :
C:/Users/Trismos/Documents/MuseScore2/Soundfonts", which did not. I copied both SF into there as well.
So yes. I now have sound.
