Thanks but that only affects the file showing.
I meant as the default setting.

I don't think there is a way. I guess this could be considered a Style setting even though it isn't done that way currently, and if we did that, then it could be saved as part of a style file, and then be made part of your default style via Edit / Preferences. That would be worth requesting as a feature. Or just making it a preferences, but I am not sure that really would be good - I think it likely people would still want this option turned on for some scores bu not others, not have toggling it affect all scores every time.

Personally I cannot imagine a practical reason for wanting it off. What it is for is to delineate the full area that can be reproduced visually.
I would expect that either it be a choice or it be enabled as the default.
