Question - 3.0 features in 2.x?
In the "future of series 2" post, someone (Marc Sabatella) mentioned "adding whatever new features originally implemented for 3.0 that happen to be easy to add to 2.x". So, I just wanted to know specifically whether the "response time improvements" mentioned in "Musescore gets faster" (https://musescore.org/en/user/101731/blog/2016/06/02/developing-musesco…) will be in a future version of MS 2, or perhaps even 2.2.
As a side note, how do I put links into text (without copying the entire link)? Like a "here" that is also a link to a forum post

These performance improvements are too deep in 3.0 code to make it into 2.2 I believe.
We're using markdown here. So links kann be done the markdown way, square bracket open, text, square bracket close, parenthesis open hyperlink, parenthesis close

Nice ;-)
As mentioned, no, the fundamental changes to layout that are responsible for the "smart" aspects as well as the speed improvements are way too deep to go into 2.2. In fact, it's not much of a stretch to say these changes are the single biggest reason for the bump in major version number in the first place.
Alright, thanks for letting me know. :)
