Printing a score to a pdf generates very fat notes a.s.o if using the downloaded nightly github-musescore-musescore-e9287fd

Printing a score to a pdf file prints very fat notes and other fat symbols. Seeing the same result if printing the score to my printer samsung ml-1660.

Working on Linux Fedora 26.

So the fault is the PDF "printer", not MuseScore, right?
Using PDF printers has continuously been reported as being problematic, in al kinds of shapes and colors

I'm pretty sure that 2.x shows the same behavoir

If MuseScore exports to PDF correctly, I don't see how MuseScore can be at fault when printing to a PDF (or any other) printer and there the outcome is bad?
I'm pretty sure to have seen very similar output with PDF printers in 2.x. If you look at the known incompatibilities in the handbook, you'd see PDF printers being mentiond several times.
Sending to a PDF 'printer' to get a PDF file is at best a superfluous thing to do, that is what we have "Export to PDF" for.

Using version 2.1 & 2.2, Windows 10 and Microsoft Print to PDF I got a normal looking file. Unfortunately I can't upload it at the moment, so you'll have to take my word for it.

This leads me to believe this is a QT problem rather than a MuseScore problem.

Edit: I suppose at some point I should download 3.0 for further testing. Also, as I edit this post the PDF I upload is now listed, we'll see if it shows up on the post.
