Just a little paranoid question :
Has there been any history of people/companies stealing original ideas from musescore postings ?
Having a devious mind (human evolution I guess) it seems to me that this would be the perfect place for mining for melodies, progression etc.
Has anybody turned on the radio and heard their own inventions ?
Best,
Gordon

I will go on a limb and say this has probably never happened as you describe it. What is pretty common, though, is for someone to download a song they find, make their own modifications, and re-upload it themselves. That's actually kind of part of the point of sharing to begin with, but if that possibility bothers you, then probably you should not be sharing.

HI Marc,
Thanks for the guidance.
I am a bit old fashioned I guess. I don't mind the idea of people listening and recycling a turn of phrase or such, influencing one another. Its completely natural and it has always been that way. However, I do find something sinister about the idea of someone downloading a whole piece, tweaking this or that, twisting some knobs, and then pretending they have composed something.
But it is all right. I will get used to it. The benefits of software like this far outweigh the drawbacks.
I am already hooked.
Best Regards,
Gordon
