First and second endings
Running Musescore 2.1.0 on Windows 7. As of today the playback function does not recognize first and second endings, but keeps repeating the score using the first ending only. This score worked correctly previously. By coincidence, there was an update offered yesterday, which I clicked on and thought was used, but I don't see any reference to the update's having been installed. Any suggestions?

Just share the score and we'll see whether that old answer still holds true...
Sure about the 2.1? Anyway there are known incompatibilities with repeats and voltas in 2.2(.1), which is most probably what you installed yesterday, where workarounds that were needed in 2.1 and earlier to get more complicated roadmaps to work properly are no longer needed and actually no longer work in 2.2, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/developers-handbook/release-notes/rel…

My "Uninstall a program" list shows Musescore 2.1.0 installed 5/12/17. Nothing else that I can find in the computer relates to Musescore, no downloads, not anything. Not sure what happened to the update, but now I have this repeat issue. (btw, not sure if I posted the attachment correctly)

Not sure what you mean. Did you change anything?

@Shoichi: What díd you change and why? That score plays correctly already, as far as I can see?

Created with 2.1 saved with 2.2.1. Scaling factor decreased
If I use voltas, the score would run to at least two more pages

That score plays back in 2.2.1 and 2.1 exactly as notated, with 1st and 2nd volta. It does not, howver, honor that ottava on 2nd repeat though.
Maybe you disabled the 'play repeats' button in the toolbar?
Which version you have installed is viszsible in Help/About.

Just clicked the "play repeats" function off and then on, tried my orginal version, and it played correctly.
The "help" menu says v.2.1.0.

Should I follow up on the newer Musescore version? If yes, what should I do?

Should I update? I thought I noticed elsewhere on the forum topics that there were some issues with the upgrade.

Try, you can always go back to 2.1.
You can download a 2.3 Nightly version and select 'extract here' to try it: https://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/musescore-nightlies/windows/

Go for the update

Thanks both for the encouragement. I'm kind of a timid computer user and not at all confident of my efforts. If my current version is working ok, I think I'll stay with it, but I'll keep a reference to this thread for the future if needed. No idea what happened to that 1st/2nd ending glitch, before I clicked the repeat icon off and back on the playback would repeat the first ending forever, but it seems ok now. Again, my thanks for the help!
