When I write a few measures in 2/4 f.ex. the symbol of the measure appears twice on the stave, in the beginning and in the end???

Right click on the sig in the next line and disable courtesy sig

If it is indeed a change to 2/4, then you should not remove the courtesy time signature without some specific reason. Otherwise it is incorrect notation, and musicians will almost certainly be confused and miss the change.

Thank you but no, there is no change in measure. It seems redundant to put 2/4 twice on one stave.

then delete that 2nd timesig, the one at the start of the system, this should also get rid of the courtesy one at the end of the previous system
