4:5 Tuplets
Due to the way the custom tuplet system is set up, there is no way for me to write tuplets with an odd denominator over three, currently done by tupleting a dotted note. (ie. 4 notes in the space of 3 eight notes). I would like to use 4:5 tuplets (four notes in the space of five eight notes in my case) for drumline music, but I can't seem to do it. Am I missing something? If not, I'd love to see it added.
Thanks!

See https://musescore.org/en/node/260646 for one method for making non standard tuplets.

In order for other tuples with a ration of 4:5 to work, you need a note or rest that lasts the duration of 5 quarter notes. The above link shows one way to make that happen, though there are other ways to do it.

what are the other ways? I am trying to get a quadruplet in the space of 5 16ths INSIDE of a sextuplet, as a nested tuplet. is there any way to get nonstandard tuplets as nested tuplets?

More information needed.

This is a topic that comes up every now and again. Since it's not something I use, I have to reinvent a way of doing it each time. Well, here's one I did earlier, with a 3:5 nested inside a 9:8. Can't remember how I did it but studying it might yield some clues. Isn't there also a fancy Plugin now that might be able to do this?
