Help with importing from Sibelius
Hello,
I have .sib files of a piece we are going to learn with our choir late August. My task is to prepare the scores for every voice.
I humbly ask, if anyone can help me with converting these Sibelius files: Kangro Missa.zip to something MuseScore could open?

Can't you use Sibeliis to export those to (music)xml?

No, I dont have access to Sibelius.
I'm considering buying the program but it feels weird to pay for this one-time job same as for MuseScore subscription I'm enjoying on daily basis.

No way to get the person you got those sib files from to do the conversion for you?

I guess the OP was asking exactly for this :-)

I wish at least one person of this forum has both sibelius and musescore and is enough kind to make the conversion for you!!!!
There is now a free version Sibelius called Sibelius First. I haven't installed it yet and don't know if it has MusicXML capabilities or if would be able to load your score, but if so, you could use that. I know I use the free Finale Notepad quite often for this very purpose.

Looks like no MusicXML export. Pity, but understandable from a marketing/sales standpoint. They want to make it easier for people to Sibelius, not from it.

If there are no translation problems... a comparison with the page in Italian
Maybe it's worth trying and investigating?
Here you go. Exported with Dolet6-Plugin from Sibelius 7.1.3
Results not tested in Musescore.

Thank you!
Estonian choral music wins so much from your effort :)

And yes, conversion looks and feels good to me.

Happy that it works for you!
Heard a very good performance of an estonian choir on a choir contest. Astonishing voices and singers, so to say Estonishing :-)
