Muescore 2.3.2 editing delayed
Hello, im running Musescore 2.3.2 on a brand new lenovo ideapad330s. entering notes to a score seems to be delayed a second. I've never run into this issue before on other laptops/different versions of the software. I turned off Navigator but that didn't seem to help much.

It's at least a known problem with large scores: #23546: Score editing extremely slow.

The default soundfont of 2.3.2 is stored in a compressed format (sf3) and gets uncompressed in memory when starting musescore. This might explain your initial delay.

Yes, most probably the decompression slowing you down initially. I am using MuseScore from a Lenovo G530 with an Intel Centrino (down-clocked Core2Duo) 2.0 GHz from circa 2008 and it is serving me fine after the initial decompression sluggishness.

If this happens in the middle of a session it may be that Auto Save is active and locking out your keyboard entry. If this is the case, you can set auto save to less often than the default 2 minutes in preferences. If you have used file->parts from the menu already, you should delete them and not use this until the score has been entered. Parts slow down everything, including save time as in Auto Save.
