Pick up beat
I want to be able to create a piece of music with a pick up beat but don't want to include the three beats worth of rests before it. I have tried to delete and cut the rests but it doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Or adjust the measure duration afterwards (possibly also exclude it from measure count): https://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-operations#properties
Keep in mind that when changing the measure duration MuseScore always retains the leftmost part of the measure.
