Different dynamics for left and right hand on piano staves.

Hello!
It has to do with a trio for violin, cello and piano that I'm writing.
Considering the piano, I need to have my score play chords softly ("p") in the right hand, while the left hand plays (more soundly) a lively bass line, in mezzo-forte ("mf").
I find that MuseScore ignores the dynamic "p" that I have applied in the right hand staff, and plays both staves in "mf" (the dynamic that I have applied in the left hand staff ).
Is there a way to make them sound like they should, using the dynamics pallette symbols?
