First song for MuseScore
Upon discovering the work of Emily Dickinson I had decided to write songs. I had written only a few previously with most of my music having been for ensemble, mostly for ballet/dance. This is one in a set of 12, written in July-August of 2016.
With the exception of a few composers, no one has been more of an influence, or in tune with my own psyche, than Emily.
For mezzo soprano.
I used the new MuseScore General_full soundfont.

Thanks to Mike320 for getting it there in one piece.

Very interesting. I think the music reminds me very much of Emily and is befitting the poem. I think the first two measures set a most interesting tone for the entire song.

Thanks for listening.
I was to post another song, the 2nd I ever wrote back in the 90's, which carries a similar sentiment, only to finally discover last night that the works of Violet Alleyn Storey are not in public domain.
Another successful upload this morning. There are 12 songs in this set (album) of song settings of Emily Dickinson. I don't think it appropriate to make an announcement for each, so...they will arrive one by one.
