Shaped notes scheme
post https://musescore.org/en/node/141551 mentions the ability to automatically add shaped note heads for example for hymn books. Cannot find this feature on the MuseScore 3 I just downloaded. Running on MacOS Mojave.
Can't get the old MuseScore 2 plugin workaround for this to work. Please help!

Right click the staff, select Staff Properties, then click the Advanced Style Properties button and there is a dropdown with the notehead display options.
sorry everyone. found the solution. Needed to be in continuous view.

Staff properties works in page view also. Continuous view might make it easier if you are hiding empty staves.
