Eight-notes triplets on version 3
Hello everyone!
I finally started to use seriously Musescore, and I love it. I can't wait to know more about it, and perhaps one day I might even write some code for it.
Now, my question: I am trying to create a series of eight-note triplets, and I can't get it to work. I found many answers on this forum about that, but they all seemed to be for version 2 of this software. Now, I use version 3, so the answers I found don't work at all in this version.
How can I create eight-note triplets with Musescore 3?

Triplets have not changed from version 2 to version 3. If by 8th note triplets you mean a triplet consisting of 8th notes then press 5 (for a quarter note duration) the ctrl+3 to turn it into a triplet, which will default to having the bracket and the 3 to identify the 3 rests (or note and 2 rests) as a triplet. If you mean a triplet with a duration of an 8th note, then press 4 then ctrl+3 and you will get 3 16th rests identified as a triplet.

On macOS 10.14, with MuseScore 3.0.1.20439, it seems like pressing 5, and then Command+3 creates a series of triplets for the whole bar. I simply want to create one triplet. I don't want the silences after my notes to be also triplets.

You have selected the measure and pressed ctrl+3 rather than the rest. If there is a square around the measure you will get the results you are showing. Make sure only the rest is blue before you press 5.
