Problem with latest version
In my case, when I updated to version 3.0.3, when I open a score ALL instruments sound as "Layered Brass Orchestra", which is the first instrument in the mixer list (F10). I can get it back to sound correctly if I manually redefine each staff to use the right instrument, from the mixer list. But, obviously that's a cumbersome byway. I thought it was something that went wrong in my soundfont file, but now I know it's not. And even after redefining manually and also saving to the score (and also defining the soundfont selection as default, still within the mixer dialog), the wrong behaviour described above still persists.

In other words, everytime I open a score, I have to manually redefine all the instruments.Regardless of how many times I do it, the definitions don't stick!

I just installed version 3.0.4 and it took care of the above mentioned problem!!
