Separating audio parts

I have created a score with two parts (1 and 2) in the treble clef and two parts (3 and 4) in the bass clef. I have two questions:
1. There are rests shown on the score in every measure of the bass clef, which I assume come from parts 1 and/or 2. How can I get rid of these?
2. I want to export all four parts separately to midi or mp3 files. I have tried to use the Marking filter (F6) and Inspector to do this, but the files still contain all the parts. I have also tried Export parts, but I get two files: one with parts 1 and 2, one with parts 3 and 4. Is there any way I can do this?

Common mistake: you used voice 3 and 4 for the bottom staff. Use voice 1 and 2 for both staves instead.

Generated parts per voice, see attached, loses the lyrics for all but one part, but should be good enough for MP3 export

Another option is to use the barbershop template and its channels to separate the voices, then use the Mixer
