Uneven lyric lines
I'm putting together a simple lead sheet, and for some reason the lyric line is uneven in the y-axis. Some words are closer to the staff than others. Haven't been able to correct it...

Your lyrics have very odd manual formatting applied to them. Some of them have automatic placement on, others off. Some are set to "Size follows 'Staff space' setting", others not. Some have manual adjustments, others not. Most also have a manual override applied to "Stacking order". And then, in Format / Style , you have the "Vertical align range" set to "Measure" instead of the default "System". WIth all those deviations from the defaults, no wonder nothing lines up!
To fix this, I'd actually recommend starting over with a fresh score using default settings and copying and pasting from this - who knows what others settings are working against you here. But at the very least, you will need to fix the vertical align range. Then, right-click one lyric, Select / All Similar Elements, and click all the "reset" buttons in the Inspector (might have to do it twice for some settings that have interdependencies) to get things back to where they should be.

Thank you! That was the easy fix! The manual overrides you're seeing in the score are the myriad fixes I tried to apply after the first error--whatever that was. Wish I could go back in time to learn from that first error...
