Global replace?
Is there a way to replace things globally in a MuseScore file, like you can for instance in an MS-Word file? For instance, suppose I want to select all "Marcato above" in a MuseScore score (I know how to do this) and with one operation replace all the selected "Marcato above" signs with an "Accent above." Is there a way to do this? Thanks for any information.

I'd say no.
It should be something like available, for example, for texts
You can do the search, but not the replace. To do the search (which could be sueful if the goal was to delete the markings, for instance), right-click one, Select / More / Same subtype.
Now, if we allowed you to drop an articulation onto another articulation and have it replace (klike we do for clefs, key, and time signatures), then double-clicking the desired articulation in the palette would get the rest of the job done here. So, I'd encourage you to submit a Suggestion to the issue tracker for this, should be doable in just a few lines of code.
Meanwhile, if you just want to get the job done for one specific case right now, save as MSCX, in a text editor, and do your search/replace there (shouldn't be hard to figure out what text to use once you start poking around).

I like the double-click option better. Simple for us uninitiated. ;-)

Thanks, but in order for us to keep track of this, it really needs to be added as a Suggestion in the issue tracker (see Support menu above).

OK I put it there, let me know if I didn't do it right.
