Plugins: Can I access a selected NOTE (not region)?
I suspect the answer is "no" with good reason, but is there any way in a plugin of identifying a note, as opposed to a score region, which has been clicked on, and its containing artifacts (voice, chord, segment, measure)?

'tis a crying shame. "Do something to" or "tell me something about" "this note" needs no further justification.
Did you ever find a way to get what you needed? I have a possible similar scenario; I have an array of notes - I'm able to delete select ones - but I'd like to "do something" with the remainders (specifically, mark them as "selected" since that state gets lost in the previous delete action) but I don't see a way to do that.

No. There was some kind of problem (which I don't recall) that made C++ implementation of this difficult.
