Adding Space Between Title Box & First Staff
I’d like to add explanatory text above the first staff. How can I increase the distance between it & the title box? Altering various margins doesn’t seem to help. I’m running MuseScore 1.1 on Mac OS 10.5.8. Thanks.

Select the Title frame;
Open Inspector (F8) set the bottom gap.

Didn’t work for me that way, but highlighting the title frame allowed editing through style options. Thanks!

Increasing the gap should work, but maybe you didn't increase it enough to make a difference. Although you didn't say what kind of text you are trying to avoid, that probably matters. Best to attach the score you re having trouble with, then we can understand and advise better.
