default postion of grace note

Hi everyone. In Byzantine chant, we often use grace notes in between two notes to reflect a little flutter in the voice when chanting. Most often, the flutter would come closer to the 2nd note rather than the 1st note, say between two quarter notes or two eighth notes. When I place the grace note, it's usually either in the middle or closer to the 1st note, and I'd rather it be closer to the 2nd note, since that's how we sing it: slightly before moving to the 2nd note. I can see how to change its position physically, using "Edit element" and then Ctrl-arrow keys, but is there a way to set the default placement of the grace note, like an offset, to be closer to one note or the other? I can't find anything in the Style and settings for anything related to the placement of grace notes, or anything related to grace notes, except in Size. Thanks...

Grace notes are "attached to a particular note", rather than "sitting between two notes". You can place them before or after the selected note, but they "don't know" about the preceding or following note, only about the note they are attached to.

If you want a grace note to be closer to one note, attach it to that note, placing it before or after as appropriate.

Yes, thank you. I do highlight the 2nd note and attach the grace note to it, but it still ends up in the middle between the two notes, and not closer to the 2nd note. I guess I'll simply have to move it physically when I want it to do so. But thank you for your help.
