Music Scanning Software

Musescore has in the file menu an option to import PDF files, and I believe I recall from Version 3X that it was using Audiveris for the OCR recognition. Is that still the same in version 4X?

Also, I noticed today in Musehub that there is a paid app called Sheet Music Scanner. I have seen no announcement about it. What do we know about that app (is it the mobile app), what company is providing it? How does it's accuracy compare to the built-in process, or to other available 3rd party programs, such as Photoscore, SmartScore Pro 64 NE, ScanScore Professional, etc??
