Notation Software

• Dec 18, 2024 - 16:14

I had Finale music notation software. But now they are no longer in business. The replacement software is too large and i had to delete such off my computer and still could not complete the installation. I am looking for a simple music notation software program. With a simple play back so I can check for mistakes and edits.
Is MuseScore such a program.

Are you saving your Finale files as mxl files so you can open them in other software?
How much space do you have?

As already mentioned, download MuseScore Studio for free, then download a free (public domain) score like this:
https://musescore.com/user/58480/scores/529126
...open the (.mscz) file in MuseScore Studio, play it back, and experiment all you want with editing.

Welcome aboard!
