Synthesized lyric singing, i.e., pronunciation
Has there been any discussion of this? Is it too hard? Is it a long-term goal? Is it pie-in-the-sky (i.e., never happen)?

So, it was an idea for the 2016 Google Summer of Code: nothing ever came of that, I take it, not even, say, a "plan of attack"? Did the suggested mentor, Nicolas Froment ever chime in about it?

He put himself down as a potential mentor for such a GSoC project, but never planned to implement this himself.
